Attendance Regularization
Purpose - Corrects a missed or wrong punch on a past date so that the employee is properly recorded as present.
Who Can Use It
- School Admin: regularizes individual dates or in a batch, subject to a monthly credit limit.
- DHE / Platform Admin: performs credit-free batch regularization for any school.
- Employees: view their monthly credit count and history.
Key Capabilities
- Single-date regularization with a reason, and optional custom punch-in / punch-out times. Batch regularization across multiple dates in one call.
- Monthly credit consumption for school-admin regularizations (one credit per date). DHE regularizations consume zero credits.
- Retrieval of the current monthly regularization count for an employee.
-
Distinct request-type labels ("ADMIN_OVERRIDE" or "DHE_OVERRIDE") on the resulting attendance rows so reviewers can tell them apart.
How to Use It
- School Admin opens the employee's history for the month, picks the date(s), and submits a regularization with a reason and optional times.
- The credits used are deducted from the school-wide monthly limit for that employee. The employee can see the updated attendance on their calendar and their regularization credit count.
- When the monthly credit ceiling is reached, further regularizations are refused for that month.
- A DHE can perform batch regularization at any time without consuming credits.
Rules & Restrictions
- The monthly credit limit is set globally by DHE (default is five).
- One credit is deducted per regularized date, regardless of whether one or both punches are being corrected.
- The reason field is required.
