Multi-Step Admission Application Form

Purpose - Guides an applicant through a structured, step-by-step form to capture all the information a school needs to process the admission.

Who Can Use It

Signed-in applicants.

Key Capabilities

  • Save and continue at any time — each step is stored as soon as it is completed. A step tracker records how far the applicant has progressed.
  • Sections cover:
    • Student information (name, date of birth, gender, category, religion, nationality, mother tongue, Aadhaar, APAAR ID, PEN number, place of birth, disability details, photograph).
    • Academic information (current and previous school and class, board exam, marks, transfer certificate, eligibility certificate, migration status, result status).
    • Parent/Guardian information (father, mother, and a separately-defined guardian when needed).
    • Contact information (permanent and correspondence addresses, mobile numbers, email).
    • School selection details (grade to apply for).
    • Additional information (medical conditions, allergies, medications, emergency contact, transport/hostel requirement, siblings, extracurricular details).
    • Declaration and consent (terms agreement, consent form, guardian signature).
How to Use It
  • Sign in and start a new application, or continue an existing one from the dashboard.
  • Move through each step in order. Save each step before moving on.
  • Attach the required documents (see feature 4).
  • Choose one or more schools to apply to (see feature 3).
  • Complete the declaration step by agreeing to the terms and uploading the signed consent form and guardian signature.
  • Submit the application.

Rules & Restrictions

  • The Aadhaar number, APAAR ID, and PEN number must be unique across the system; duplicates from another student are rejected.
  • Once submitted, most information is locked and cannot be freely edited.
  • If the DHE has frozen new applications, creating or updating student information is blocked. An "admissions are currently closed" message is shown.
  • The declaration can only be submitted once.
