DHE Dashboard, Rankings and Trends

Purpose - Gives the state-level education department (DHE) a real-time and historical view of attendance across every school.

Who Can Use It

DHE, DHE Employee (state portal employee), and Platform Admin.

Key Capabilities

  • System-wide today attendance totals: total employees, present today, on-leave today, late today, absent today, and the count of employees excluded because of a holiday.
  • Monthly system statistics with counts of excellent (≥90%), good (75–89%), average (50–74%), and poor (<50%) schools.
  • Schools list with per-school totals, attendance percentage, performance category, geofence status, and geographical hierarchy (district, block, cluster).
  • Supports search, filtering by band and geography, sorting, and pagination.
  • Non-geofenced schools list.
  • Precomputed rollup (available at a dedicated endpoint group) that lets sorting, band filtering, and date-range aggregation run entirely in database queries — used for the fast schools list.
  • State-wide daily attendance trend chart driven by the precomputed rollup, with a side panel summary for the latest day.
  • Performance-band counts for compliance cards.
  • Manual "recompute" trigger for backfill and debugging.
  • Excel exports for the schools list (all, filtered, and non-geofenced) and for any employee's calendar.
How to Use It
  • Open the DHE dashboard to see today's system totals and the monthly compliance cards.
  • Drill down into a specific band ("poor", "average", "good", "excellent") to see the schools in that band.
  • Use the schools list with search, geographic filters, and date range to explore performance.
  • Open a school to see its today snapshot, live overview, and monthly stats.
  • Export lists or per-employee calendars for offline review.

Rules & Restrictions

  • The rollup snapshots each day's total-employees value so a later staff change cannot rewrite past days' percentages.
  • The trend chart excludes Sundays, declared holidays, and pre-academic-year days from the series.
  • The DHE endpoints enforce a DHE-only middleware; a state DHE employee's access can additionally be scoped to a specific designation or user by query parameters.
