DHE Portal Login – User Guide

Introduction

The DHE Portal Login page is the authentication gateway for users to access the Department of Higher Education (DHE) services through the SamarthX e-Governance platform. The portal is managed in association with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and the University of Delhi.


Prerequisites

Before logging in, ensure that:

  • You have a registered email address or mobile number.
  • You have access to your registered contact details.
  • You have a stable internet connection.
  • Your browser supports HTTPS websites.

Accessing the Portal

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Navigate to the DHE Login Portal URL.
  3. The login page will display:
    • Portal selection options
    • Login form for Email or Phone

Portal Selection

Two portal options are available:

Option Description
DHE Employee Portal For authorized DHE employees and staff
DHE Portal For DHE dashboard and portal users

Select the appropriate portal before proceeding.


Login Procedure

Step 1: Enter Email or Phone

In the Email or Phone field, enter your registered:

  • Email Address, or
  • Mobile Number

Step 2: Continue

Click the Continue button.

Step 3: Authentication

Complete the authentication process as prompted by the system. Depending on configuration, you may be required to enter a password or verification code.

Step 4: Access Dashboard

Upon successful authentication, you will be redirected to the DHE Dashboard.

Open Portal
      ↓
Select Portal Type
      ↓
Enter Email/Phone
      ↓
Click Continue
      ↓
Authentication Verification
      ↓
Access Dashboard

Common Errors and Solutions

Issue Possible Solution
Email or Phone field is empty Enter a valid email or mobile number
User not found Verify registration details
Authentication failed Re-enter credentials and try again
Portal not loading Check internet connectivity
Verification code not received Wait a few minutes and retry

Security Recommendations

  • Do not share login credentials with others.
  • Always log out after completing your work.
  • Use only registered email addresses and phone numbers.
  • Access the portal only through official URLs.
  • Avoid logging in from public or shared devices.

If you are unable to access your account:

  1. Verify your registered email or mobile number.
  2. Retry after some time.
  3. Contact the DHE Portal Administrator or your institution's support team for assistance.
