Live Attendance Overview

Purpose - Provides a live snapshot of who is In, Out, Late, On Duty, On Leave, or Not Marked in a school today. 

Who Can Use It 

• School Admin: overview of their own school. 
• DHE / Platform Admin: overview of any school, plus a state-wide system overview.

Key Capabilities 

• Live totals: total employees, total in, out, late, not marked, on-duty, on-leave, and today's attendance percentage. 
• Per-employee rows with check-in and check-out times, late-check-in minutes, and role/designation. 
• Two variants: a POST-based version where the client sends the employee list, and a V2 GET version where the server fetches employees internally. 
• Unified today summary (a compact card that matches the same numbers as the detailed overview). 
• Seven-day punch status for a specific employee. 
• Current attendance status for a specific employee. 

How to Use It 

• School Admin opens the Live Attendance screen; the totals and employee rows are shown for today. 
• The overview refreshes as employees punch in and out through the day.
• DHE opens the state overview to see today's totals across every school in the state.
• Tap a specific employee to see their punch status for the last seven days. 

Rules & Restrictions 

• Physical presence takes priority over duty and leave: an employee who has punched in is In, not On Duty. 
• Employees on approved full-day leave are excused; they are excluded from the absent count and from the percentage denominator.
