Low-Accuracy Geofence Override

Purpose - Lets an employee whose device reports a genuinely poor GPS fix mark attendance from outside the geofence, with consent, and record the punch for admin review — instead of being permanently blocked by a coordinate the device itself is unsure about. 

Who Can Use It 

• Employees: use the special check-in and check-out endpoints when the app detects a low accuracy fix. 
• School Admin, DHE, and Platform Admin: review the flagged punches in a dedicated list.

Key Capabilities 

• A two-threshold accuracy window (default 100 metres and 8 kilometres) that decides whether the override can be offered.
• The employee must confirm a prompt that explains the consequence, and the device must confirm precise location is switched on. 
• Each override punch is stored with its coordinates, distance from campus, reported accuracy, and accuracy tier. 
• A dedicated review list for administrators (with employee, school, punch, distance, and accuracy details). 

How to Use It 

• When the mobile app detects a fix worse than the accuracy floor but within the override ceiling, it warns the employee and asks for consent. 
• The employee confirms; the app posts to the low-accuracy check-in or check-out endpoint.
• The punch is stored and flagged. 
• School Admin, DHE, or Platform Admin can open the Low-Accuracy Overrides list to review flagged punches.  

Rules & Restrictions

• The override is granted only when the reported accuracy sits within the configured window and the device has asserted precise location is on. 
• A fix at or below the accuracy floor is trusted, so "outside the geofence" remains "outside" and the punch is refused. 
• A fix worse than the override ceiling is treated as a broken sensor and refused outright. The overall geofence, timing, and remark rules still apply to the punch itself.
